I recently starting incorporating tutoring into my schedule during the school year and now during the Summer! When I was tutoring during the school year, I did not have to come up with any resources to work on with my students because they had homework to work on or missing work to finish. Super simple, no prep for me!
But at the end of this recent school year, I had a parent of a student reach out about tutoring this summer to help their student prepare for the upcoming school year. I started freaking out a little bit because there is no homework over the summer! What am I supposed to work on with them?!
So, I started creating some engaging and interactive mini lessons and activities to make our tutoring sessions a little less WORK centered and have some fun sprinkled in there, it is summer after all!
